Movie Review: Cashback

Cashback

Soundtrack knockoff (Garden State) but still good.  Camera interesting.  Intro very long, cut in half would give the same effect.

Only one problem… what’s the point?  Always thought the movie was moving into the part that made the plot, never came.  Speaking of plot, there is none… or maybe it just isn’t that good.  Guy dumps girl, girl gets mad, guy gets sad, guy finds girl, guy gets happy, guy messes up, girl gets mad …

Nothing interesting besides the gratuitous use of nudity.  If you’re looking for a background piece, this is it.  No plot, no interesting insights, no thought provoking scenes/twists/etc.  Leave it on during a party for the soundtrack, or better yet, just skip it and buy the latest Shins album.  Overall rating: F+.  Why the plus?  Because the camera work doesn’t completely suck.

I liked it because of the cover – that’s it.
