Patty, it’s always good to hear from you. I couldn’t agree more. Fast food IS a convenience food, but I never seem satisfied after I finish a burger and fries (although it’s been a while since I’ve been to the golden arches). I just always have some sort of snack in my car or at work to tide me over until later. My latest obsession is black mission figs and granola.

Good points, Mendel. I have been super busy lately with a new-ish job and so I don’t always make the time to cook. When I do fast foods or convenience food, though, it’s hardly worth eating—they have so little nutritional value. When I do cook, I try to make extra so I can freeze some and eat it later—kind of like my own homemade TV dinners.

I love your neighbor…he’s pretty awesome… and makes good food. I had a feeling there was a relationship between size and heat. I didn’t know about the wrinkles though…very interesting.
