A heartwarming story of a kid named Tommy

I recently went to a cabbage patch museum in the middle of the cornfields of Iowa.  Lisa loves Cabbage Patch Kids, so we needed to visit.   I’ll let her do a great reveal on Facebook before I post more pics, but this is one story I couldn’t wait to tell…

And this is Tommy now!

Do you love Cabbage Patch Kids?  Have you been to the museum and seen this display?

Mikey’s Cabbage Patch

So Lisa and I took a trip to Kalona, IA to find a color dining experience with locals.  The meal was breakfast, and by the time we got to Kalona we were very hungry.  Not too hungry though, to take a detour to ‘Mikey’s Cabbage Patch’.

Strangely, I thought it would actually be some sort of strange out-of-the-way Cabbage Patch Restaurant (was listed as a restaurant on the Garmin).  Obviously I forgot my Iowa roots, and the fact that people actually GROW cabbage in Iowa.  The pictures show what we found. :-p
